The Tarot Spreads Year Card Deck (2023)
Following the success of The Tarot Spreads Yearbook, I was commissioned by David & Charles to illustrate The Tarot Spreads Year Card Deck, a 52-card companion deck created to help readers explore tarot in an intuitive, creative, and accessible way.
Designed in harmony with the book, the deck is divided into four seasonal themes — Growth, Shadow, Change, and Care — reflecting the cyclical rhythm of the year. Each card offers a unique tarot spread to guide reflection on themes such as friendship, confidence, career, and intuition, encouraging a year-long journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth.
My artistic approach focused on creating visual continuity between the deck and the accompanying book, using cohesive symbolism, color palettes, and textures to evoke a sense of ritual and seasonal energy. The project also included artwork for a 16-page booklet, offering guidance on how to engage with the cards and integrate their insights into daily life.
The Tarot Spreads Year Card Deck was released internationally in 2023, providing both beginners and experienced readers with a creative way to connect with tarot and mindfulness through art.
